Who we are

Angel Business Management Services Limited, is committed to helping and supporting small and medium sized businesses with their accounting, financial management and general business management requirements.

We are not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists for marketing or any other purpose.

We are here to work with you as part of your team. If we collect any personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure are explained in this document. If anything is not clear feel free to give us a call.

Important information

We take the protection of your privacy very seriously.  We will only use your personal information to deliver the services you have requested from us, and to meet our regulatory, statutory and legal responsibilities.

This Privacy Notice aims to give you information on how we  collect and process your personal data through your usage of this website, including any additional data provided by you through this website.

This website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children, although if you are a recipient of Child Benefit we may be required to process the following information about your child: Child’s Name, Child’s Date of Birth.

It is important that you read this privacy notice together with any other privacy notice or fair processing notice we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal data about you so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data. This privacy notice supplements the other notices and is not intended to override them.

How do we collect information from you?

We obtain information about you when you engage us to deliver our services and/or when you use our website, for example, when you contact us about our services.

What type of information do we collect from you?

The company and personal information we collect from you will vary depending on which services you engage us to deliver. 

The personal information we collect might include your name, address, telephone number, email address, your Unique Tax Reference (UTR) number, your National Insurance number or bank account details.

We do not seek any sensitive information (e.g., data relating to race or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, criminal record, physical or mental health, or sexual orientation) from our clients, unless we are legally required to do so or it is necessary for the performance of our contracts.

How is your information used?

In general terms, and depending on which services you engage us to deliver, as part of providing our agreed services we may use your information to:

  • contact you by post, email, telephone or secure document exchange software
  • verify your identity where this is required
  • understand your needs and how they may be met
  • maintain our records in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory obligations
  • process financial transactions
  • prevent and detect crime, fraud or corruption
If you fail to provide personal data

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to represent you or perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with goods or services).

In this case, we may have to end our representation with you or cancel a product or service you have with us, but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.

Who has access to your information?

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties nor will we share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. Any staff with access to your information has a duty of confidentiality under the ethical standards that this firm is required to follow.

Retention of information

We are required by legislation, other regulatory requirements and our insurers to retain your data where we have ceased to act for you. 

The period of retention required varies with the applicable legislation but is typically five or six years.  To ensure compliance with all such requirements it is the policy of the firm to retain all data for a period of seven years from the end of the period concerned.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file stored in your computer containing text data. We use cookies for certain functions to improve the usability of the website. However, enabling cookies in your web browser is necessary if you wish your selections to be remembered for future visits on the same computer. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this website may become inaccessible or not function properly.

We also use Google analytics to collect standard Internet information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. With this we can find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information however is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and we do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of visitors to our website.

Monitoring of wi-fi in our venue

If you visit us at our office we may allow you Wi-Fi access. We do not collect any data about your use of the Wi-Fi system at our office and we do not allow any access to our system via that Wi-Fi access.

Any information you collect through newsletter subscriptions

We do not have a newsletter system at the present time, and it is not something that we are actively considering. If we do move to a newsletter system any personal information used would only be for limited reasons: to tell you about things that you have asked us to tell you about to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information or to check our records are correct and to see whether you are happy and satisfied with the service that that newsletter would give you.

We do not rent or trade email lists of any kind with other organisations or businesses.

Third Party data sharing and Third Party Service Providers

As a general rule we do not share information with any other third party, although on occasion we may pass your information to our third-party service providers and other associated organisations solely for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf and/or for services that you ask of us and for which we are not regulated to carry out, for example the provision of regulated Financial, Investment and Legal services. 

However, where we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service you require and we only work with third parties that are committed through regulation to keep your information secure and not to use it for their own purposes.

Please be assured that we will not release your information to third parties unless you have requested that we do so and have agreed to this, or we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention and detection of crime, fraud or corruption

How to access and update your information

Keeping your information up to date and accurate is important to us.  We commit to regularly review and correct where necessary, the information that we hold about you.

Security precautions in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information

Whilst we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.

Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems. Where we have given, or where you have chosen, a password which enables you to access information, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.  We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Your data will usually be processed in our offices in the UK.  However, to allow us to operate efficient digital processes, we sometimes need to store information in servers located outside the UK, but within the European Economic Area (EEA).  We take the security of your data seriously and so all our systems have appropriate security in place that complies with all applicable legislative and regulatory requirements.

Your choices

We may occasionally contact you by post, email, telephone or secure document exchange software with details of any changes in legal and regulatory requirements or other developments that may be relevant to your affairs and, where applicable, how we may assist you further.

Access to your information

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information about you that we hold. 

Correcting your information

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate, complete and up to date and you may ask us to correct any personal information about you that you believe does not meet these standards.

Deletion of your information

You have the right to ask us to delete personal information about you where:

  • you consider that we no longer require the information for the purposes for which it was obtained
  • you have validly objected to our use of your personal information – see ‘Objecting to how we may use your information’ below
  • our use of your personal information is contrary to law or our other legal obligations
  • we are using your information with your consent and you have withdrawn your consent – see ‘withdrawing consent to use your information’ below.
Restricting how we may use your information

In some cases, you may ask us to restrict how we use your personal information. 

This right might apply, for example, where we are checking the accuracy of personal information about you that we hold or assessing the validity of any objection you have made to our use of your information.  The right might also apply where there is no longer a basis for using your personal information but you do not want us to delete the data. 

Where this right is validly exercised, we may only use the relevant personal information with your consent, for legal claims or where there are other public interest grounds to do so.

Objecting to how we may use your information

Where we use your personal information to perform tasks carried out in the public interest then, if you ask us to, we will stop using that personal information unless there are overriding legitimate grounds to continue. 

Withdrawing consent to use your information

Where we use your personal information with your consent you may withdraw that consent at any time and we will stop using your personal information for the purpose(s) for which consent was given.

Reviewing this policy

We urge you to keep your own records, employment contracts, handbooks and corporate documents up-to-date and to review them periodically. We practice what we preach with regard to our own documents and in particular this privacy statement. It is reviewed annually and was last reviewed on 22nd October 2019.
